VisitMartinsville Receives Two Virginia Tourism Corporation Grants for Tourism Marketing
VisitMartinsville, The Martinsville-Henry County Economic Development Corporation’s Tourism Division, received a $10,000 grant from the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Destination Marketing Organization Grant Program. In addition, VisitMartinsville also received a $5,097 grant from the Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Marketing Leverage Program.
These funds will be used for the Marketing Initiative to support an “Outdoor for All” outdoor recreation campaign.

New Exhibits Opening August 8 at Piedmont Arts
Piedmont Arts will host an opening reception in honor of its new exhibits from 5:30-7:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 8 at the museum. The exhibits “What Memory Wears: Works by Barbara Hardy and Bob Ray,” “In a Different Light: Photographs by Russell Hart” and “Eyes on the Wild: Photography by Artemisia Blankenship” will be on display.
The reception will feature live music, light refreshments and a gallery talk starting at 6:15 p.m. This event is free and open to the public. An RSVP is required by Wednesday, Aug. 6 to 276.632.3221 or at PiedmontArts.org.
